Mukasa Children Foundation - The Children
Getting to know the children at the Sorcha Children Foundation is an important part of understanding the impact of the orphanage on their lives, each one with a unique story of how they came to be here. Whether it's due to their mothers not being able to provide basic needs or both parents having passed away or just abandoning them, they all have a place at our orphanage.

These children aged from three up to fourteen, go to school and have a variety of hobbies that they enjoy, such as painting, playing soccer, skipping, playing board games and singing; like most children, given any opportunity they love watching movies, the girls are obsessed with American teenage movies. Each child has a unique personality and interests, but they all share a bond of friendship and support within the orphanage community.

Whatever their history may be, the orphanage is dedicated to making a difference in their future. Your support and involvement can help shape a brighter tomorrow for these children.
Umaru
He loves football and he loves school. He loves films. He is very hardworking and humble.
Madina
She is the head of the children. She helps to bathe the young kids and is very hard working. She loves playing jumping games and loves studying. Her ambition is to be a doctor. With the care she shows the children and how hard she studies, we think she has the potential to be a great doctor
Sophia
She is hardworking and helps a lot with the housework. She loves school and is very caring. She really cares about others.
Sophie
She is the youngest at the orphanage, she has just turned three! She is very humble. She is growing up fast! She loves cuddles.

Budhallah
He is humble and quite quiet. He loves football and enjoys going to school.
Shamina
She is deaf and a little shy as she can't hear. She really loves going to school though and that doesn't stop her learning.
Shamina was found in the slums.
Mugoya
Mugoya loves football and bicycles. He really loves going to school and is very hardworking. He is very religious.
Waida
He loves football and he loves school. He is hardworking and he helps so much with the house work.
Fwufwa
She is very humble and loves school. She loves teddy bears and playing with toys. When she grows older she wants to be a doctor.
Shukrah
She is hardworking and loves going to school. She is humble and loves teddy bears and high school films.
Hassan
He loves football and also loves going to school. He is very hardworking and cooperates with all his friends.
Imran
He is very quiet. But he loves football and school.
Catherine
She loves school and playing games. She is hardworking. She loves teddy bears.
Panda Abdul
He is disciplined and loves football. He loves going to school and is very hardworking.
Keira
She loves school and is humble and kind. She loves high school films and is hardworking. She also loves teddy bears. She is very religious.
Mbada
She loves school
Her mum was single after divorcing her father. We saw her mother often was asking for help on the streets and so it was best the children entered the orphanage.
Her sisters are Kagoya and Zaina.
Hope
She is very humble and hardworking. She loves school and teddy bears. She loves playing jumping games and she worships God.
Hindu
She is humble and she loves school. Also very religious. She loves teddy bears and also loves playing jumping games!
Abdul
He is humble and loves football and school. He is very hardworking and very sympathetic to his friends.
Zaina
She loves school but is a little shy. She loves teddy bears and has two sisters, Mbada and Kagoya. Her mother divorced her father and eventually was asking for help on the streets and so it was best the children entered the orphanage.
Morgan
She loves school and is very bright in class. She is very religious and studies religion. She also loves to read novels and is very hardworking.
Kato
Kato participates in activities like sweeping the compound, he loves school so much! For fun he loves football and playing chess. He was picked from the streets starving and taken to the orphanage.
Waisuwa & Kato
The twins are very quiet. Their father ran away from mother after birth. Despite he best efforts she was unable to provide their basic needs and so the orphanage became their new home.
Kagoya
She is here with her sisters, Zaina & Mbada. She loves school but is a little shy. She loves teddy bears. Sadly after a divorce, her mum was really struggling to provide basic care so they came to the orphanage.
Alex
He is humble and loves school. He is disciplined and also loves football. He is god fearing.
Tendo
She loves school and teddy bears. She is humble and hardworking and is devout to God.
Ryan
He is humble and is a lover of football. He loves school and he likes stories.
Agatha
She is very hardworking for someone so little and she helps a lot with the house work. She loves school and is very caring, she really cares about others. Her mum a single mother was unable to provide basic needs such as food. Agatha was sadly dumped at the orphanage by her mother.
Iduma
He is quiet and humble. He loves school and is very hardworking.
Mujibu
He is very hardworking and helps in fetching the water. He loves football, school, bicycles and movies.
Arafat
He is hardworking and loves school. He is very humble.
Sarah
She loves playing games so much. She loves school and is very hard working. She is god fearing - which means she is devout to God.
Latifa
Like her sister Lukia, she loves school and is doing very well in her studies. She came to the orpanage after her mother was unable to cope.
Lukia
She loves school and is performing well there. She is also very humble. She came to the orphanage after her father divorced from her mother, sadly her mother was unable to provide basic care like food and so the orphanage took her in. Her sister is Latifia.
Ashi
He is hardworking and humble. He loves football, school and movies.
Babirye
She loves school and is hardworking. She loves teddy bears. She is very religious.
Musa
He is very religious and loves school and football. He also loves films.
Panda
She loves school and is very hardworking. Panda also loves God and really enjoys football.
Mukisa
He loves football and school. He loves playing with his friends and really enjoys watching films. He also loves doing housework! A great help around the orphange.
His parents sadly were alcoholics and would regularly beat Mukisa. Mukasa brought him to the orphanage so that he was safe from harm.
Auma
She is very humble, she is quick in doing something, always gets stuck in - for fun, she loves jumping games, teddy bears and high school films.
She loves going to school and learning. Her family was very poor so she was left at the orphanage.
Sultan
He is hardworking in doing housework, he is bright in class, he loves school so much, he loves football.
Hawulati
She wakes up early for school, she is cooperative with colleagues, she loves teddy bears, she is quiet most of the time. Sadly her family was so poor they couldn't get sustain the family needs so she now lives with us at the orphanage.
Were
He is a lover of football, he loves schooling, he is committed to something, he is honest and he loves praying to God.
Rihannah
She is very hardworking and she loves school. For relaxation she likes watching high school movies with the girls, she really likes the company of her friends and is very kind. She has no parents and was left at the orphanage by her uncle.
Sudaice
He loves football, likes playing games especially chess, he loves school and is very kind.
He was found on the streets as an orphan, we sadly don't know anything about his back ground.
Ashiri
She is kind, she likes high school films, she loves school so much and loves telling stories. Also very cooperative and humble.
Mugabwe
He is very hardworking and loves football. He also loves school. He loves cooking and gives off great vibes to his fellow friends.
Fati
She loves school and teddy bears. She is god fearing. She likes to spread love to her colleagues. She loves highschool films and loves playing games very much.
Hafuswa
She is very honest and loves going to school. She loves playing indoor games the most and is incredibly humble.
